David C. Matthews

I am intrigued by the juxtaposition of objects and how their relationships can change, merely by moving one inch to the right or left. I use the camera frame to isolate and record the most compelling aspects of the obscure and mundane. The subjects that interest me aren't the most obvious. I see the intersection and relationship between the curve of a vase, the tabletop and the wall behind, not the flowers. Dried salt on pavement, skyscrapers, alleys and runways provide an endless array of subject matter. I am an observer.
